Bound volumes of college reports (1909, 1924, 1934), and Panama Canal bonds and related correspondence (1908) of Frederick's father, Marcus White Frederick, a San Francisco physician who graduated from Harvard University in 1884; a European travel diary (1883-1884) of Charles Evert, a maternal uncle of Frederick's wife; and travel notes and visa (1898) of Francis Joseph Stumm, a family friend. Includes a few obituary clippings of the Frederick and Stumm families, along with a small amount of ephemera.

Robert Tryon Frederick (March 14, 1907 – November 29, 1970) was born in San Francisco, California. From West Point, he was commissioned in the Coast Artillery Corps in 1928. In 1939, he graduated from Command and General Staff School. From 1941 to 1942, Frederick worked on the War Department General Staff.
